AJ Styles has defeated Naomichi Marufuji at NOAH Destination 2024.
On Saturday morning in Budokan Hall, AJ Styles made his return to Japan for a matchup against one of the top Japanese names of the last 20 years in Naomichi Marufuji. The match was announced last month following WWE Clash At The Castle, with the two legends going over 25 minutes at Destination.
The finish of the match featured a sequence in wish Marufuji initially escaped a Styles Clash attempt, only to still find himself on the business end of Styles' legendary move. Styles would score the pinfall off the Styles Clash, before the pair would give respect to one another after the match.

Styles last competed in WWE back at Clash At The Castle, coming up short in an I Quit match with Cody Rhodes at the event.
AJ recently commented on himself and IYO Sky wrestling outside of WWE in Japan, highlighting it as part of the Paul Levesque era of WWE. You can read more about that here.
