AJ Styles is curious as to what this new title is.
WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley will be appearing on tonight's WWE RAW in Albany, New York to introduce a new WWE Title. Reports and rumors have made the rounds about what this title could be and there have been suggestions such as a Legends Title and recently, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline noted that the belief is that the title will be 'Wild Card' championship that would play into the Wild Card rule that is in effect which allows for superstars from RAW and SmackDown Live to appear on either brand.
Former two-time WWE Champion AJ Styles was asked about the new title when he was interviewed by Newsweek. Styles said the idea of a new title is intriguing and added that he is looking forward to it.
“When a new championship is involved you can’t help but look at it and say, ‘You know that’s not a bad idea,’” Styles said. “Competitors are going to compete and they will come out, I’m sure it’ll be interesting. I look forward to it.”
Last night at Money In The Bank, AJ Styles came close to defeating Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship but "The Beast Slayer" overcame AJ and retained the gold. AJ stated that although he lost the match, his quest to become Universal Champion is far from over.
"Just because you lose doesn’t mean it’s over,” Styles said. “I’ve lost before. I’ve lost the WWE Championship before. You find your way back into the hunt. You may get derailed by going to the back of the line but you want what you want, and I want to be Universal Champion before my career is over.”
The main event of last night's Money In The Bank pay-per-view saw Brock Lesnar win the men's Money In The Bank Ladder match. It was reported by PWInsider earlier today that Lesnar is slated to appear on tonight's RAW and Fightful's live coverage article of the show is live.
