AJ Styles counts John Cena as one of the greatest of all time.
In an interview on Busted Open radio, AJ Styles was asked about John Cena and if he should be considered a top ten professional wrestler of all time and without hesitation, Styles said he indeed is.
"I think you have to," said Styles. "He's not known for his move set, I guess you could say, but his psychology is unbelievable like he gets it on another level. It makes up for things he lacks in his move set because he's so unbelievable in that ring. When he and I work together...he uses his left hand and I said 'that's got to be what it is John, that's why we work so well together. You're lefty and I'm a righty' it just works," he continued.
Styles alluded to him and Cena being different in other ways but he said he keeps enjoying his time in the ring with him.
"We're different in every way yet we keep putting on, I think, great matches," said Styles. "I love being in the ring with him. When you're in there with him, I don't care who you are, he takes it to another level," he added.
Cena and Styles will meet in a match on Sunday at WWE Fastlane along with four other wrestlers in a six-pack challenge match for Styles' WWE Championship. Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for the event.
