AJ Styles Reveals It Was His Decision To Bring Back His Old Theme Song

AJ Styles comments on returning at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble with his original WWE theme song.

AJ Styles briefly changed his theme song when he turned heel in 2024. However, by the time he returned at the WWE Royal Rumble in 2025, he was using his original theme. Now, he's discussing how both of these decisions were his.

WWE Files To Trademark 'SnackDown'

Speaking about the match with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Styles explained that as a heel, he didn't want his fan-favorite theme song, but once he knew he was returning as a babyface, he felt it was time to bring the original song back.

"Yeah, it was my call to change it, too, because as a bad guy, I thought my song was a little too cool. Everybody loves that song. I love the song, but that's not who I was trying to be. I wanted you to not like me. I wanted you to despise me. I thought, 'Well, if I change the song up, people are gonna hate it,' perfect, right? If they do, perfect. Then, when I knew I was coming back, I was gonna be the good guy again. I was like, 'I want my old music back.' Nobody said anything. Y'ep, that's fine.' So yeah, that was my decision."
