AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan will meet once again for the WWE Title.
As a result of his victory in a fatal 5-way bout on SmackDown, Styles will challenge Bryan for the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble. Styles defeated Mustafa Ali, Samoa Joe, Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio in the fatal 5-way contest, pinning Orton with a springboard 450 splash.

Bryan won the WWE Title from Styles on the Nov. 13 episode of SmackDown following a low blow and running knee strike. After the bout, Bryan continued to attack Styles, transforming himself into the New Daniel Bryan. Bryan would defeat Styles with a small package in their rematch at WWE TLC in December.
Styles showed off a new version of himself on the Dec. 25 episode of SmackDown when he decked Vince McMahon after McMahon screamed at him to unleash his inner animal.
