AJ Styles is an avid gamer and he thought his video game dreams would come true when TNA/IMPACT Wrestling announced its TNA iMPACT! video game in 2008.
Styles was the franchise of TNA and its most recognizable homegrown star. Unfortunately for him, he only landed a portion of the cover with an action shot. And that didn't sit well with him.
"I wasn't on the cover of a game that I helped give advice for. Long story short, they ran out of time with the IMPACT Wrestling game and it was terrible. I helped with that and I really wasn't on the cover. I was in the background throwing a forearm and I was pissed," Styles said on A Couple in with Cody Jinks podcast.
Styles' cover dreams did come true in WWE when he landed the cover of WWE 2K19.
"It was unbelievable. I get to the biggest wrestling company in the world and they put me on their cover. It was huge. Being a gamer, it was huge for me. I was so excited," he said.
Elsewhere during the podcast, Styles discussed his original plans for his Twitch channel before he had to shut down his stream. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
