Alan Angels discusses his relationship with Alex Shelley.
Prestige Wrestling has been the home to many battles between Alex Shelley and Alan Angels, specifically two singles matches that took place in March of 2023 and 2024. In the 2024 match, Angels ended Shelley's 700+ day reign as the Prestige Wrestling Champion.
As it turns out, Shelley has taken Angels and a few other names under his wing in recent years. In a new interview with Dynamite Download, Angels talked about Shelley and praised him for advancing him along in his career.
“Within the last few years, Alex Shelley actually is a guy that I consider a mentor and a guy that really — I mean, there’s a bunch of guys on the indies right now that he kind of took under his wing and we all became one of Shelley’s kids. He’s for sure up there as far as guys that have really helped me and really mentored me and really advanced me along in my career.”
Angels recently returned from his battle with a knee injury, wrestling two matches for Prestige Wrestling earlier this month.
