Alberto Del Rio Arrested After Alleged Sexual Assault, Threatening To Drop Child In Road

Alberto Del Rio is facing serious charges after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman and threatening to drop her child in the middle of the road.

Former WWE World Champion, Alberto Del Rio (Jose A. Rodriguez Chucuan), was arrested on May 9, when police responded to a report from May 4, he had become angry with a woman and assaulted her causing multiple injuries.

According to a report by News 4 in San Antonio, Texas, the victim said Chucuan slapped her across the head twice before taking her downstairs and forcing her to put on a dress and dance for him and if she cried, Chucuan threatened to take her son and drop him in the middle of the road. Chucuan allegedly became angry when she wouldn’t admit to being unfaithful.

Police said Chucuan tied the woman's hands with boxing straps, put a sock in her mouth and sexually assaulted her for several hours, using various objects. According to investigators, he also punched her in the back during the assault, causing visible injuries. The victim told detectives she does not remember much after he placed his hand around her throat.

TMZ adds that the victim claims Chucuan broke her cell phone and laptop and tried to burn her passport. The attack allegedly began at 10 p.m. and ended around 2:30 a.m.

According to an arrest affidavit, the unnamed woman told police that The former WWE Champion allegedly sexually assaulted her and had her injuries photographed.

Chucuan has been charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony. He posted bond of $50,000 and was released at 3:30 a.m. CT on Sunday.

Alberto Del Rio also faced domestic abuse charges after an incident with WWE Superstar Paige on July 9th, 2017. Paige would comment on the incident days later on social media.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, following his arrest on May 9, Del Rio was held for about five hours before being released later that afternoon.
