Amir Khan is a WWE fan, and he wouldn't say no to trying it out.
Amir Khan previously had a successful career as a boxer; he faced Canelo Álvarez and other stars. Khan retired in 2022 after winning 34 of his 40 fights. In 2023, he received a two-year ban for a doping violation. He has since transitioned into a role as a promoter, and he has focused on other projects as well.
Speaking with Prime Casino, Amir Khan noted that he would never say no to WWE, and he would jump at the chance to try it out.
"WWE is something we have been watching since we were young kids. I remember back when it was called WWF. Yeah, definitely. I’d love to give that a little bit of a try. It’s all entertainment. That’d be some fun, eh? I would not say no to that. That is something I’d jump at. It’s something I’ve been watching for a very long time, even before I got into boxing, we all used to watch with our big pillows and doing the choke slams and you name it. It’d be nice and something I would never say no to," Khan said.
As of this writing, there is no word on whether Amir Khan will make an appearance in WWE.
Khan would not be the first star from the boxing world to cross over to WWE. The company has worked with Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather in the past. Tyson Fury has also made multiple appearances on WWE programming, and he wrestled at WWE Crown Jewel 2019. There, he defeated Braun Strowman via countout. In October 2023, he said that WWE was too hard for him.
Boxer Ryan Garcia previously claimed that WWE wanted to sign him. Check out his comments here.
