Andrade Appears At AAA's Rey De Reyes, Challenges Kenny Omega For Mega Championship At TripleMania

Andrade has his sights set on Kenny Omega.

The former NXT Champion was granted his release from WWE on March 21, 2021, and has now resurfaced in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide looking to capture gold. He appeared via video after the main event of the promotions Rey de Reyes show. Puma King and Diamante Azul ran in and attacked Pagano, Psycho Clown, and Chessman, causing the tag team match to end in a no contest. Sam Adonis joined in on the beatdown, clotheslining Chessman to start the melee.

Puma King then introduced Andrade, who proceeded to challenge Kenny Omega to a AAA Mega Championship Match at TripleMania. Omega currently holds the belt, along with the AEW and IMPACT World Championships.

The date of TripleMania is currently not known, however, the hope is for it to take place in front of a live crowd in August or September. Earlier in the night, IMPACT Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo also challenged new Reina de Reinas Champion, Faby Apache to a Title vs. Title Match at TripleMania.

After Andrade's promo ended, Puma King called their group La Empresa. He, Azul, and Adonis then held up a shirt, although it's worth noting that the former WWE Superstar didn't make much mention of the faction during his speech.

On April 30, during the Federacion Wrestling virtual press conference, Andrade was officially announced as joining the promotion. He will be part of La Facción Ingobernable, teaming with RUSH, Bestia Del Ring, and a surprise partner against Matt Taven, PJ Black, and two surprise partners. The pay-per-view event is scheduled for June 19.

Fightful will have results for AAA's Rey de Reyes show immediately after its conclusion.
