Anna Jay is one of the top names in the AEW women's division, becoming a weekly staple on AEW television as a singles star, with Tay Conti, or alongside the Dark Order.
Jay had a breakout moment at AEW Rampage New Year's Smash as she teamed with Conti to battle Penelope Ford & The Bunny in a bloody and chaotic street fight.
Appearing on Thunder Rosa's taco vlog, Jay reflected on the match.
"That was the most fun I think I've had wrestling," she said.
When asked what it was like putting the match together, Jay said, "Stressful. Not easy. Thank God it flowed and went well, but it was stressful."
Jerry Lynn, who helped with the famous Rosa vs. Britt Baker Lights Out match, helped with the street fight as well.
"He's the best in every aspect. For this, for sure, working with him, I was really looking forward to it. Could not have had a better person to work with," said Jay.
Much like the Lights Out match, the street fight was taped and didn't air live, which helped build anticipation for the match.
"It was cool because afterward, to see that people really enjoyed it and saw we did bust our ass, literally a little bit, was really cool and I'm glad people liked it. I'll never forget that and I'm glad people saw it in that way. it's a match that will go down in AEW history," said Jay.
When asked if she would do it again, Jay said, "I would love to. I would do it tomorrow if they asked. A lot of fun. Stressful, but fun."
Jay showed off an intensity in that match and being more intense is something she wants to continue to work on moving forward.
"It's not completely a gimmick," Jay replied when asked how much of the real Anna Jay is in her character. "I'm pretty calm in person and very laid back, I keep to myself. In the ring, I would say I'm still calm, that's what I'm working on, I want to be more intense because I'm not an intense person. I would say there are similarities, but it's like an intensified version of me. I'm pretty laid back, don't really do much, I'm easygoing."
Jay most recently competed on the February 8 episode of AEW Dark where she defeated Kaci Lennox.
