WWE SmackDown

TKO President Mark Shapiro Told Netflix That WWE Is 'Up Your Alley. It's Scripted Entertainment'

- Ashante “Thee” Adonis told SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis he wanted an opportunity. Aldis said he had some ideas.

- IYO SKY defended the WWE Women’s Championship against Michin.

- Kevin Owens faced Santos Escobar in the finals of the WWE United States Championship tournament. WWE United States Champion Logan Paul came down and joined the broadcast team for the bout. Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro brawled with Angel and Humberto, and they fought to the back. Owens clinched the victory and won the tournament.

- WWE United States Champion Logan Paul confronted Kevin Owens, who rocked him with one punch.

- Paul Heyman responded to The Rock and took shots at Cody Rhodes and CM Punk. He said nobody could defeat Roman Reigns. Rhodes later commented on Heyman's message.

- Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) came to the ring. Lashley noted that 2023 was frustrating, but they would take what they deserved in 2023. Ford said they would capitalize on every opportunity to win gold. Dawkins teased that they were coming for the tag team titles. Lashley said he wanted to get back to being “The All Mighty”, and he declared for the Men’s Royal Rumble. AOP (Akam and Rezar) attacked the trio while Karrion Kross, Scarlett, and Paul Ellering looked on. Kross then joined in the beatdown.

- Damage CTRL (Bayley, IYO SKY, Dakota Kai, Kairi Sane, and Asuka) celebrated IYO SKY’s win. Bianca Belair interrupted and declared for the Royal Rumble.

Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) faced Butch and a mystery partner, who turned out to be Tyler Bate. Butch and Bate then scored the win.

- A Triple Threat Match between Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles was thrown out when Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and Jimmy Uso attacked them.

- As announced by Nick Aldis, Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against LA Knight, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles at WWE Royal Rumble.

- Michin commented on her loss.

- Bobby Lashley responded to Karrion Kross

- Roman Reigns told Paul Heyman to “fix this” when he found out about his title match at WWE Royal Rumble.

- Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Karen Jarrett were backstage. Dutt wanted to get them back to their winning ways. Tensions continued to rise due to their recent struggles, as Lethal and Jeff Jarrett argued.

- Wheeler Yuta successfully defended the ROH Pure Championship against Komander.

- The Hardys (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) teamed up with Mark Briscoe to defeat The Butcher, The Blade, and Kip Sabian.

- Sammy Guevara looked forward to his match against Ricky Starks. Chris Jericho warned that he would stop Big Bill if he tried to get involved.

- The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) commented on their win. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) interrupted, and Matt Hardy explained that Hardy Party was no more, as they would do their own thing.

- Stokely Hathaway hyped up Kris Statlander as he introduced her and Willow Nightingale ahead of their match.

- Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale beat Notorious Mimi and Kennedi Hardcastle. Hathaway then celebrated with Statlander, but the winners were not thrilled.

- Anna Jay said it was time for a change. Harley Cameron teased that she had something planned for Angelo Parker.

- Hikaru Shida defeated Anna Jay.

- Adam Copeland will speak on the January 6 episode of AEW Collision.

- Matt Hardy commented on The Hardys' new attitude.

- Anthony Henry looked forward to facing Sting.
