On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, AEW introduced the TBS Championship, which will be part of the women's division.
AEW Dynamite will move to TBS on January 5, 2022, which is when the title will be introduced via a tournament. There was some confusion among fans whether the tournament will begin on January 5 or end on that date.
On Instagram, Edwards clarified that the tournament final will be held on January 5.
"The finals for the tournament are on January 5th, so the tournament is happening over the next two months," she wrote in a reply to a user.
It is unknown when the tournament will begin or which competitors will be part of the tournament.
Thunder Rosa, Skye Blue, Ruby Soho and Jade Cargill all did promo segments on Dynamite declaring their intentions to chase the AEW TBS Tournament. Cargill and Blue are set to square off on Friday's AEW Rampage.
