Bandido provides an update on his future with Ring of Honor.
Supercard of Honor is set to have a Winner-Take-All match between Original ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham and ROH World Heavyweight Champion Bandido, but one of them has revealed that his future is still up in the air.
Speaking with Más Lucha, Bandido stated that he was shocked by Tony Khan's purchase of notorious wrestling promotion. He stated the following:
"It’s incredible but it did take me by surprise, admittedly. They always say that change is for the better, so I’m interested to see what is next in this new phase (of Ring of Honor). If I continue, and I would love to continue, I will be thrilled to be there. If not, then I look forward to closing that chapter the best possible manner.”
Bandido continued to state that he and Tony Khan have not discussed future plans, revealing that it's been years since they last spoke. He stated this:
"They haven't reached out to me. We (Bandido & Khan) have not spoken since the 2019 Battle of Los Angeles Tournament, unfortunately."
Tony Khan recently revealed that he will be the booker of Ring of Honor but has yet to detail any plans for broadcasting television. Learn more here.
We will have full coverage of Supercard of Honor on Friday, April 1.
