Baron Corbin talks about his return to NXT and how it relit a fire in him.
Last year, Corbin returned to NXT where he would challenge for the NXT championship multiple times before eventually winning the NXT tag titles alongside Bron Breakker.
While speaking to Love Wrestling in the build up to SummerSlam 2024, Corbin was asked if his run in NXT rejuvenated him at this point of his career.
"100% was. It relit that fire that I had when I started. When you're around those guys, you can't help it. Like I think maybe at the end of my WWE time, before I went down there, I was complacent. I was, you know, dreading getting on a plane every week and going to work. Now I'm excited. I'm like, hey, is it Thursday? Do I get to get on a plane? I'm like, where's the show? What are we doing? But also, too, because the WWE universe is hot right now, man. They're excited for everything. They're cheering me, which is crazy. I never thought in my lifetime I would see that."
Corbin has begun his return to the WWE main roster by teaming with Apollo Crews on Friday Night SmackDown.
