It was supposed to be a night to celebrate Ric Flair's 70th birthday. But Batista had other ideas.
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon brought out WWE Hall of Famers and some of Flair's greatest rivals such as Shawn Michaels, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, and Sting in order to help Flair ring in another year. Following a video package highlighting Flair's career, the man himself was called out to the ring. But instead of getting Flair, fans got a returning Batista.
Batista, making his first appearance on WWE television since SmackDown 1000, attacked Flair in his dressing room before asking Triple H, "Do I have your attention now?"
