Becky Lynch Explains Why She Failed P.E. When She Was 15, Compares Herself To Daria Morgendorffer

Becky Lynch doesn't like how she looks while running.

Ahead of WrestleMania 38, the Raw Women's Champion made an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show and shared that she never would have believed the level of success she's attained, especially considering she failed Phys Ed. when she was 15 years old. When asked how she failed, Lynch offered the following explanation.

Carmelo Hayes: I Ran Into CM Punk, He Just Gave Me The Best Advice To Never Lose A Backstage Fight Again

"Honest to God, I don't think it was that hard, I think it was just because I refused to do anything. I thought I looked stupid running. I still look stupid running, but at least I do it now. At the time, whenever I was asked to do anything, I would just stand there. Do you remember that cartoon, Daria? She would play whatever, soccer or something, and she'd just stand there and put her hand out. I feel like I've got a visual image of me being exactly like Daria was in gym class. That was my failing grade. English and History I was okay at, but P.E., awful," she said.

The character of Daria first appeared in Beavis and Butt-Head and would go on to get a spin-off series on MTV that would last five seasons (1997-2002).

Lynch is set to defend the Raw Women's Championship against Bianca Belair during Night One of WrestleMania 38. To view the updated card for the event, click here.
