Best Friends Defeat Don Callis Family In Wild Card Match To Earn Spot In AEW Tag Title Tournament

The Best Friends' quest to win the big one continues.

On the March 20 episode of AEW Dynamite, Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta of the Best Friends faced Kyle Fletcher and Powerhouse Hobbs in an AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Wild Card match. The two teams battled back and forth, and Hobbs overpowered the fan-favorites throughout the bout. Fletcher nearly scored the win with a Tombstone, but Cassidy ultimately clinched the victory with an Orange Punch to Fletcher.

With the win, Best Friends advanced to the next round of the tournament. They will face Mike Bennett and Matt Taven of the Undisputed Kingdom in the next round. Taven and Bennett are the reigning ROH World Tag Team Champions.

The tournament will continue on the March 27 episode of AEW Dynamite. There, the Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) will face Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen). The finals of the tournament will be held at AEW Dynasty.
