Best Friends Discuss How They First Thought About Bringing Trent's Mom Sue To AEW Programming

An unexpected star on AEW programming in recent weeks has been Trent's mom Sue and Best Friends reveal how it all came about.

Speaking on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Trent spoke on how his mom first popped up on AEW Dynamite dropping off Trent and Chuckie T in a van before a match. Afterwards, Sue has made sporadic appearances on AEW and BTE, joining the Dark Order and even flipping off Santana and Ortiz at the end of the September 16 episode of Dynamite.

Eddie Edwards: I'm Focused On TNA World Title, But Getting The Tag Titles Back Is Also My Goal

Trent revealed that it all started with him and Chuckie T sitting during an AEW show and seeing multiple wrestlers arrive in vehicles. Trent then had the idea of getting his mom to drop Best Friends off in a van.

"That was like me and him were just watching the show and thinking, 'This is like the fourth time someone's come in with a car.' There was a couple of weeks where people drove in. Cody, FTR. As a joke, I think I said it would be funny if my mom dropped us off in a van... She was really excited about it.. She loves doing stuff like that. She's a little mark for herself," Trent said.

Chuckie T was not only very receptive to the idea but also brought it up to AEW President Tony Khan, who also loved the idea.

"I said, 'Yes, absolutely. Let's do that.' That was like six days before we did it. We went and told Tony and he was like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,'" Chuckie T said.
