Bobby Heenan Once Told Jimmy Jacobs He Wouldn't Make It In Wrestling, 'Get A Job, Go Get Some Weed, Have Fun'

Jimmy Jacobs had the pleasure of being managed by Bobby Heenan early on in his career on an independent event. He then decided to ask "The Brain" for some advice and had the privilege of being on the receiving end of Heenan's wit.

Jimmy Jacobs was the latest guest on RJ City's Hey! (EW) YouTube series. During the episode, City mentioned that Jacobs was once managed by Bobby Heenan on the independent circuit.

Asked where he would rank among Heenan Family greats such as Andre the Giant, Haku, Mr. Perfect, Rick Rude, and more, Jacobs said Heenan would probably rank him low. Jacobs also shared the pearls of wisdom that Bobby "The Brain" Heenan imparted when he asked him for advice.

"I asked him for advice after he saw me perform. He says, 'Yeah. Get a job, get some weed, go have some fun because you'll never have a future in this business.'"

Success is measured differently for every individual, and while Jacobs never reached a major stage like WWE as an on-screen performer, he would fare well in Ring of Honor and briefly appear in TNA. However, Jacobs has worked in the creative teams for WWE and TNA in the past and currently works for AEW backstage.
