Bobby Lashley Meets With Street Profits, Komander Gets First AEW Win | WWE SD x AEW Recap

WWE SmackDown

AEW Announces Maximum Carnage Dynamite And Collision Tapings

- The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) met with Bobby Lashley backstage. He told them they should be treated like stars, but they had to dress like it. With that in mind, he got them suits.

- IYO SKY confronted Bayley and questioned why she left her the previous week. Bayley looked in her bag and found a mysterious message that read, “See you soon.” WWE Women’s Champion Asuka showed up and said she would make SKY regret cashing in her Money in the Bank contract on her. SKY said she would be leaving the show with the title no matter what.

- Rey Mysterio faced Santos Escobar in the finals of the United States Championship Invitational. WWE United States Champion Austin Theory watched the match in the crowd. The two LWO members clashed in a hard-fought match. Rey suffered an apparent injury, and the referee stopped the match when Rey was deemed unable to continue. Theory stared Escobar down after the bell.

- Jey Uso opened the show. Roman Reigns interrupted and said he made him the right-hand man. He questioned if Jey thought he was the Tribal Chief, and Jey said he never wanted any of that. He said he had Reigns’ back for three years, and he believed he could lead the company and their family. Jey told Roman he broke their family, and now he had to do what he had to do. Roman pointed out that Jey asked for a title shot after Jimmy got hurt. Reigns said Jey would be “done” after he lost at SummerSlam. He told Jey that he can’t beat him. Jey responded by saying he already beat Reigns at WWE Money in the Bank, and he would do it again at SummerSlam.

- Hit Row (Top Dolla, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, and B-Fab) came to the ring and insulted the crowd. LA Knight interrupted and took some shots at Top Dolla and B-Fab. He hyped up his match with Adonis and went on to beat him in a singles match.

- WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville interrupted an interview with Bianca Belair. Belair challenged them to a Triple Threat Match. Charlotte Flair showed up and pitched making it a tag team match. Flair and Belair then faced the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Belair and "The Queen" struggled to coexist, and “The Queen” stole the win from Belair. They argued after the match.

- LA Knight confronted Adam Pearce and made it clear he wanted a spot in the Slim Jim Battle Royal at WWE SummerSlam. Sheamus confronted him. Both men were added to the battle royal.

- Karrion Kross faced Karl Anderson. Before the match, Anderson told AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Michin that he had to face Kross alone. Kross scored the win and locked Anderson in the Kross Jacket after the bell. Styles and his O.C. stablemates made the save.

- Grayson Waller approached Jey Uso backstage and offered to give him the Grayson Waller rub. Jey responded by punching him. In the main event, Uso faced Waller. Roman Reigns came out during the match, as did Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman. Uso scoured the win and fought off a post-match attack from Sikoa. Jey also dropped Reigns with a Spear. Sikoa blindsided Jey. Reigns and Sikoa then ganged up on him. Reigns talked some trash and stood tall over Jey. Roman hit Jey with another Spear.

- Grayson Waller called out The Rock in a tweet after he went for The People's Elbow on SmackDown.

- Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville discussed their frustrations in a WWE Digital Exclusive.

AEW Rampage

- Komander defeated Kip Sabian and picked up his first AEW win.

- Big Bill and Brian Cage won a Tag Team Battle Royale to earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Jeff Hardy made his return to the ring when he competed in the bout. Ethan Page and Jay Lethal brawled to the back after they were eliminated.

- Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver) reflected on their win in the Fight Without Honor at ROH Death Before Dishonor. They made it clear that it was time for Dark Order to rebuild.

- The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) scored a dominant win over Hayden Backlund and Myung-Jae Lee.

- Hikaru Shida defeated Nyla Rose in a bout between former AEW Women’s World Champions. The Outcasts (Toni Storm, Saraya, and Ruby Soho) watched the match backstage and came to the stage to stare Shida down after the bell.
