A change has been made to the WWE World Cup.
On Raw, Acting General Manger Baron Corbin announced that Bobby Lashley would replace John Cena in the World Cup. Corbin's reasoning is that Lashley did him a solid by taking out Finn Balor and that Cena did not even qualify to be in the tournament.
As previously reported, John Cena was refusing to go to Saudi Arabia following their alleged involvement in the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Prior to last Monday's Raw, it was reported that members of the WWE creative team were told that Cena was "100 percent off" Crown Jewel. However, up until tonight, Cena had been advertised for the Nov. 2 show.
Daniel Bryan is also reportedly refusing to go to Saudi Arabia, but is currently still scheduled to face AJ Styles for the WWE Title on Friday.
