Booker T claims he and CM Punk almost got into it.
CM Punk was backstage at NXT on March 12th, but kept a low profile according to Fightful Select.
Booker T saw him, and according to Booker, they got into a little run in.
"I did. I saw Punk. We'll talk about that off the air [laughs]. I almost had a little run in with CM Punk. The internet might want to pick that up. Me and CM Punk almost got into it at NXT. We'll talk about it later. I don't want to put it out there because they're going to pick it up and run with it. I'll talk to you off the air," Booker said on his Hall of Fame podcast.
As of now, we've not heard anything of the sort actually emanating from the tapings, and one source told Fightful it was "Booker being Booker," and probably just trying to create a headline....so congrats if so?
Booker T and CM Punk previously ran into each other at NXT Deadline and Booker said Punk called him a flip flopper. Booker didn't disagree.
