Booker T says he doesn’t plan on hanging up the boots.
Booker T is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer and a six-time World Heavyweight Champion, and he doesn’t plan on retiring. Booker T still occasionally gets in the ring for his home promotion of Reality of Wrestling and last wrestled for WWE as part of the 2023 Royal Rumble.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, Booker says he doesn’t plan on retiring and may even put on the tights for an event in Saudi Arabia, but he’s always open to wrestling for his home promotion of ROW.
“Well, I’m never gonna retire. I’m definitely gonna get back in the ring at some point in time to do something. But it’s gonna be here, in Reality of Wrestling, or in Saudi [laughs].”
Regarding another appearance in the Royal Rumble, Booker T says he’s not looking to replicate his 2023 performance and believes that was the perfect send-off for him in that kind of role.
“You know, I think that spot was a great swan song for me doing it at that time, it was one of those unexpected entries. It was a moment, it’s kind of hard to really create those moments, duplicate those kind of moments, replicate that. So I think Rumble for me, I’m not looking to do anymore. “
Elsewhere in this interview, Booker T offered a great deal of praise for Lexis King, the son of Brian Pillman. Read his comments here.
