Brian Cage Says There Is A Plan For His Return To AEW TV

Brian Cage hasn't been seen on AEW TV since October when he lost to Ricky Starks in a street fight on AEW Rampage.

Cage's contract with the company reportedly was set to expire in February, but Fightful Select reported that his option year was picked up.

Speaking on the Going Broadway podcast, Cage confirmed that there is a plan for him to return to TV, but didn't offer much in terms of details.

"There is a plan. I guess that's about as much as I can throw around out there. We'll wait and see," he said.

Cage mentioned that there are plenty of matches for him to have in AEW, not only with the talent that was there when he was initially taken off TV, but also with the talent that has been brought in since February.

Cage noted that throughout his time in AEW, he's always been pitching different ideas, including during his time away.

"I've pitched different ideas. There was ideas that changed up towards the end. I came up with a couple of ideas. There are different creative ideas, some are more detailed than others. It's all supposed to formulate into this plan that is underway," he said.

It is unknown when Cage will return to AEW TV.

Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
