Britt Baker explains how she was cast in Cobra Kai.
Season six part two of "Cobra Kai" is now streaming on Netflix, and pro wrestling fans will see a familiar face in the form of AEW star Britt Baker, who features in the show. Baker is part of the Tiger Strike dojo and plays a coach, but still has her own fight scene.
In a recent interview with USMagazine, Britt reflected on how she won the role, noting her persistence on the topic paid off.
“I met one of the writers, Hayden [Schlossberg], and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m Britt,’” she recalled. “He recognized me from social media. I kind of joked, but not joking, ‘If you ever need anything, I’m a huge fan and would love to be involved,' eventually he called me and said, ‘You really have the Cobra Kai never say die attitude. If you’re interested, we have a role for you in mind and this is what it is.’”
Despite featuring in the show, Britt also noted that she hasn't watched her appearance back yet.
Elsewhere in the same interview, Baker spoke about being exhausted by online critics. You can read more about that here.
