Former tag team partners will clash on the July 23rd episode of WWE NXT.
On the July 9th episode, Ava agreed to give Brooks Jensen a second chance, despite his disruptive behavior, as some people had vouched for him. Jensen then attacked Je'Von Evans backstage, and his former tag team partner, Josh Briggs, was frustrated because he had gone to bat for Jensen.
Jensen then faced Evans on the July 16th episode of NXT. Briggs was at ringside for the bout, and Shawn Spears came down the ramp late in the bout. Evans scored the win, and Jensen attacked him after the bell. Briggs stopped him and argued with him.
At the end of the show, Jensen and Briggs were leaving. Jensen expressed his frustration, as he blamed Briggs for his loss. Briggs fired back by saying that Brooks was lost. Jensen said that he had never been more clear, and he challenged Briggs to a match. Briggs initially turned him down, but Jensen insisted. He said that he wanted to face him in a No Disqualification match. Jensen walked away and left in a car that was waiting for him.
