Bryan Danielson prefers sleeping next to his wife, WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella, over taking his AEW World Championship belt to bed with him. That settles it; at this point, he really does love his family more than professional wrestling.
Bryan Danielson captured the AEW World Title from Swerve Strickland at AEW All In 2024. His wife and two children were in the crowd for the match and got to celebrate with him in the ring afterward. Danielson has since called it his favorite moment of his career.
Bryan Danielson has always shared a great passion for professional wrestling, and while he is proud to be an AEW World Champion, he's not trying to take the title to bed with him. Danielson humorously told Justin Barrasso that, even though some wrestling champions take their title belts to bed with them, he would much rather just share the bed with his wife and avoid sleeping on the couch.
“I don’t need to sleep with it,” said Danielson, who broke into laughter at the mere notion. “I’d much rather be sleeping with my wife. Can you imagine if this big, heavy championship was between us? She’d make me go sleep on the couch.”
Brie Danielson was also interviewed by Renée Paquette ahead of Bryan's championship victory, and said that she would never try to take Bryan's dream away from him. Read her comments here.
That being said, Danielson is ready to retire once he loses his AEW World Title and spends time being a full-time dad who gives back to his community.
