Bryan Keith Heard He Would Potentially Be In Shane Taylor Promotions Or House Of Black Before He Joined The Learning Tree

Bryan Keith's journey in AEW could have been different.

Bryan Keith signed with AEW in February 2024 after he had already been wrestling for the company for the past few months. At AEW Double or Nothing, Keith turned heel and aligned with Chris Jericho as he joined The Learning Tree. Keith has remained featured on AEW programming as part of the group with Jericho and Big Bill.

Speaking on Talk Is Jericho, Bryan Keith was asked to recall his reaction to hearing that he would be joining the Learning Tree.

“It was shocking, man. I remember hearing other groups that I would potentially be in, maybe four different groups, and none of them were Learning Tree. Whenever you let me know that I’m possibly gonna be with you guys, man, I remember just [laughs] dropping everything and being like, ‘What? That’s…’ Never in a million years. I was trained by Booker T. That is my era of wrestling, Ruthless Aggression era is stuff I grew up on, stuff I feel like is the best product that I watched, and you guys were the reason for that. I’m trained by Booker T, now working with you, so it’s a movie, man. My life is a movie," Bryan Keith said.

Keith was then asked to name which groups he heard he was considered for. He noted that he thought that one of them was Shane Taylor Promotions, and the other was possibly House of Black.

"I think one of them was potentially Shane Taylor Promotions. Another one was, I know they were throwing around maybe House of Black possibly, something like that, I don’t know for sure. Then I don’t remember what the other one was, I just remember it wasn’t you guys, that’s for sure [laughs]," Keith said.
