Carmella: If I Went Back To Wrestling, I Would Hope It Was For WWE

On February 21, Fightful Select and Masked J of PWN reported that Carmella's contract with WWE had expired. She was moved to the WWE Alumni section on the website on February 22, signifying her time ending with the company.

She last wrestled for WWE in March 2023, but had only been back for about six weeks. She'd been out of action since 2022 prior. She has been battling health issues since delivering her child in November 2023.

Speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Carmella was asked about possibly working for another promotion should she return to wrestling.

"I'm not a 'never say never' person. To me, I do feel such loyalty to WWE. I loved my time working there. If I ever went back, I would hope it would be for WWE. I would want to go back as Carmella and moonwalk my way out there and be in a WWE ring. I do feel like that would be my home, but I'm not going to say never. Who knows what the future holds," she said.

Carmella said she is still on the path to working her way back to a potential in-ring return and believes it will happen.
