Carmella is back.
On the January 30 episode of WWE Raw, WWE official Adam Pearce announced that a Women's Elimination Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber premium live event will determine Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair's challenger at WrestleMania 39. He then announced a four-way qualifying match for next week; Candice LeRae will face Michin, Piper Niven, and Carmella. The former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion has been sidelined since she suffered an injury at a WWE live event in August 2022.
Carmella then appeared in a backstage interview, where she referred to herself as the "princess of Staten Island." She made it clear that she intends to win the bout next week and punch her ticket to Elimination Chamber. Asuka crashed the interview and grossed Carmella out by smiling, showing her colored teeth, and spewing some mysterious goo from her mouth.

Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez, Nikki Cross, and Liv Morgan have already qualified for the Elimination Chamber match, as they were the final four competitors in the Women's Royal Rumble other than the winner, Rhea Ripley. On Monday, "The Eradicator" announced that she will use her title shot to challenge SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39.
