Carmelo Hayes got some advice from the master.
On the November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes got into a backstage argument with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, as Hayes noted that Kevin Owens was telling the truth about him. Tensions rose, and Rhodes shoved Hayes.
Hayes then took to Twitter/X and noted that he ran into CM Punk, who gave him the best advice as to how to never lose a backstage fight again.

Punk was infamously involved in two backstage altercations during his time in AEW. He was part of the Brawl Out incident with Kenny Omega, Matthew Jackson, and Nicholas Jackson in 2022. Punk was later involved in a backstage incident with Jack Perry at AEW All In. AEW then terminated Punk's contract, and he returned to WWE.
Hayes won't have to fight Rhodes backstage, as he will face him on the November 29 episode of WWE SmackDown.
