Sheamus is nowhere near close to retiring according to his friends.
"The Celtic Warrior" Sheamus has been a part of WWE dating back to 2006 and throughout his time in the company, he has won the Intercontinental, United States and a handful of World Titles. Sheamus has won the Royal Rumble, King Of The Ring, Money In The Bank and is a five-time WWE Tag Team Champion with "The Swiss Superman" Cesaro. Cesaro was moved over to RAW as a part of the Superstar Shake-Up and he last wrestled on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 35. Rumors circulated on social media that Sheamus was inching closer to retiring but Cesaro, Rusev and Lana shut those rumors down during an interview with Irish Mirror.
Rusev added that Sheamus is quite possibly in the best shape of his life while Cesaro chimed in and said Sheamus is fine and nowhere near the end of his career.
Rusev: "Retirement? He's in the best shape of his life. He's almost down to 205 pounds. He's about 230 or whatever. He's in the best shape of his life and he lives eight houses down from us so I see him every day. Our dogs play with each other. He's fine, he's nowhere near the end of his career, he may be forty years-old but who cares?"
Lana: "I just did my first workout with him for his 'Celtic Warrior Workouts' YouTube channel."
Cesaro: "I have no clue about a return date, but I know that he's doing great. I know he just built a home gym that he had painted orange like a real 'Celtic Warrior', so he's making the most out of his time [off]. He's one of the hardest workers I know. You should check his YouTube channel for updates because he'll let everyone know once he himself knows what's up."
This past Monday on RAW, Cesaro went one-on-one with Rey Mysterio and to check out the result of that match, head over to Fightful's recent RAW coverage article.
