Chad Gable scores a big win.
The leader of the Alpha Academy made history on the August 21 episode of WWE Raw, as he was able to hand Gunther his first main roster singles loss, although it was via count out. Gunther was counted out of the match after Gable dumped him over the barricade with a german suplex.

Not only was this Gunther's first singles loss on the main roster, but it was also his first singles loss since April 5, 2022, where he lost to Bron Breakker in a NXT Championship match.
Gable and Gunther have been going back in forth in recent weeks. Gable was able to beat Gunther's five minute challenge in a match on the July 31 episode of WWE Raw, despite going on to ultimately lose the match.
