Chad Gable is the number one contender to the Intercontinental Championship.
Gable was able to outlast Tommaso Ciampa, Matt Riddle, and Ricochet in a number one contender's fatal four way match on the August 7 episode of WWE Raw. After a high octane back and forth contest between all four men, Gable won the bout by hitting a rolling german suplex on Ciampa, pinning him shortly after.
Following the conclusion of the bout, Gable celebrated the moment at ringside with his son.

Gable is set to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at a later date. Fightful will update fans when that bout is announced.
The two began feuding during the July 31 episode of WWE Raw, when Gable faced Gunther in a five minute challenge. Gunther went on to win that bout, even though Gable lasted longer than five minutes.
