Chase University goes to WWE NXT Heatwave to attempt to win WWE NXT gold.
Andre Chase and Duke Hudson won Tag Team Turmoil on the June 25 WWE NXT, last eliminating New Catch Republic's Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne, to earn the right to challenge Axiom and Nathan Frazer for the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship. Bate and Dunne had previously defeated The Good Brothers (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson), Malik Blade & Edris Enofe, and Legado del Fantasma (Angel Garza & Berto Carrillo).
They had some help as Gallows & Anderson were distracted by Lucien Price and Bronco Nima while Apollo Crews returned to NXT to distract Garza and Carrillo. Now, Chase U has a chance to regain gold.
