CHIKARA has cut ties with Kobald following allegations of abuse.
Multiple women have come forward accusing Kobald of physical and mental abuse. One woman claimed Kobald would beat her with a belt, burned her with a lighter, and verbally abused her. Another woman claimed he would manipulate her and called him "a lying predator."
In response to the allegations, CHIKARA released the following statement:
We have been made aware of a recent allegation about Kobald.
We take all allegations of misconduct very seriously, and are looking into the matter.
Our priority is and always will be the safety of our fans, cast & crew.
In accordance with this, Kobald has been removed from our roster.

Kobald has been a regular in CHIKARA since 2011. He last competed for the promotion in February 2020.
