While amateur wrestling will take center stage throughout the tournament, Chris Jericho believes pro wrestling could work as an Olympic Sport.

"I've started to really think about how pro wrestling could easily be an Olympic sport. It's an athletic display between two people. Much like figure skating or synchronized swimming, or anything else that is judged on points. Think about it. I'm from Canada. Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega, best wrestler in the world from Canada. We put together our routine. You have Will Ospreay and Michael Oku from England, they put together their routine. Then you have Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson from the United States, they put together their routine. Then the judges would say, 'Okay, this is the best.' It doesn't matter who wins or loses (the match)," Jericho said on the Blocks Podcast with Neal Brennan.

Many amateur wrestlers have made the transition to pro wrestling over the years including Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Chad Gable, and more.

Jericho is currently signed to AEW and is the reigning FTW Champion.
