Chris Sabin keeps it old-school.
As a 10-time TNA Wrestling X-Division Champion, Chris Sabin is perhaps the top authority on all things X-Division. This also means that Sabin has held a wide variety of championship belts representing the X-Division Title.
In a new interview with the Battleground Podcast, Sabin named the original NWA-TNA version of the championship as his favorite title. He even referenced a lot of companies, including NXT, taking inspiration from the design of the title.
"I would say the one directly above your head right there, that X-Division Championship. That was my favorite one, the one with the big red X on it. I thought that was the most recognized title. If you look around wrestling nowadays, you see a lot of titles that actually copied that look, you know, the NXT title being one. So, that was a very innovative title right there. I really liked that one, It's been copied a lot, but that right there is the original X," he said.
Elsewhere in this interview, Sabin spoke about wanting to restore the glory of the X-Division heading into the rebrand of TNA Wrestling. Learn more here.
He also opened up about why he doesn't think the six-sided ring that was made famous by TNA should come back. Read more here.
