The school is located inside the Boys & Girls Club of El Paso. de Oro was a part of that same club when he was younger. The school will be open from Monday to Thursday. It is noted in the piece that a portion of the school's proceeds will go back into supporting the Boys & Girls Club and helping fund scholarships and youth programs.

Here is the statement that de Oro sent out:

I was one of these kids. Opening this school is more than a dream come true. Now it’s my turn to give back—to inspire them, to train them, and to show them that with heart and discipline, anything is possible.

Earlier this year, Cinta de Oro announced a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club to bring live lucha libre events to downtown El Paso. Monthly events have been taking place since March.

Cinta de Oro, real name José Jorge Arriaga Rodríguez, was the second person to don the Sin Cara name in WWE. Before joining WWE, he donned the Místico/Mystico names and wrestled for AAA and multiple independent promotions.

While Rodríguez was using the name, CMLL wrestler Místico began to gain notoriety, and CMLL owned the legal rights to the character, so Rodríguez had to alter his name.
