CM Punk Attacks Drew McIntyre At WWE Money In The Bank 2024, Costs Him Money In The Bank Cash-In

CM Punk got revenge.

At WWE Money in the Bank, Drew McIntyre won the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Later in the show, Damian Priest defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. They battled back and forth in a hard-fought match. McIntyre then cashed in his Money in the Bank contract during the match, so it became a three-way bout.

McIntyre was seemingly on the verge of victory, but CM Punk ran in and attacked him. He hit McIntyre repeatedly with a chair. Punk then set his sights on the World Heavyweight Championship, and he hit McIntyre with it. Priest capitalized and hit the South of Heaven for the win.

Punk sat on the broadcast table after the match and savored McIntyre's misery. Rollins angrily yelled at him after the match, clearly furious with what had transpired. Due to Rollins' loss, he will no longer be able to challenge for the title as long as Priest is the reigning champion.

McIntyre previously took Punk out with a brutal attack on the June 21 episode of WWE SmackDown after Punk cost him his match against Priest at WWE Clash at the Castle.

Punk and McIntyre have been feuding since January, and their rivalry has only continued to heat up since then. McIntyre said that he prayed for the torn triceps that sidelined Punk on the road to WrestleMania. Punk then cost McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE WrestleMania XL. He attacked McIntyre after he beat Rollins to win the title, and Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on McIntyre to capture the gold.
