CM Punk blasts Colt Cabana.
On Sunday night, PWInsider reported that the lawsuit between CM Punk and Colt Cabana had been settled and dismissed with prejudice. Cabana sued Punk in August 2018 for $1.2 million, alleging that Punk agreed to pay for Cabana's legal fees but "suddenly" demanded Cabana pay over $250,000. Cabana accused CM Punk of being the reason he had to seek other legal counsel in the June 2018 trial against WWE doctor Chris Amann.
With the lawsuit dismissed and finally behind him, CM Punk took to social media to comment on the lawsuit and his broken friendship with Cabana. Among other things, Punk notes that he wanted to go to trial, claims Cabana tried to extort him, and quoted the Taylor Swift lyric "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes."
Why’d he ask to settle then? I wanted it to go to trial! Play stupid games, win stupid prizes! Enjoy donating to the eventual “woe is me” go fund me account. pic.twitter.com/n2K5MAAkqG

HE SUED ME. He wanted to end the dumb shit HE started? I asked to speak to him, he declined. I asked to enter mediation, he declined. I offered money, IT WASNT ENOUGH! I never wanted ANY of it. He’s as greedy as you are ignorant to who I am, and fooled by who he is. pic.twitter.com/9JFwwMilUe

I loved the guy. Would’ve done anything for him. And the irony is, if he just would’ve asked for the money, I’d have given it to him. Instead he tried to extort me.

Cabana has yet to comment on the lawsuit publicly.
Along with the dismissal of the lawsuit, Punk was in the headlines earlier this week with reports that he tested on-camera for WWE's upcoming studio show WWE Backstage. You can find details of Punk's on-camera testing by clicking here.
