CM Punk Is Open To Leading A Faction In WWE, 'This Is The Most Creative Locker Room That I Think I've Ever Been In'

CM Punk talks about the current state of WWE creative.

CM Punk has led several factions in his career, including The New Nexus, the Second City Saints, and perhaps most notably, the Straight Edge Society. He has also claimed that his original idea for The Shield was for it to be a faction led by him, and he would then go off to feud with Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose when the group reached its natural conclusion.

RJ City: That Was F*cked

Ringside Collectibles recently interviewed CM Punk during San Diego Comic-Con. During the interview, Punk was asked about the potential of leading a new faction at this stage in his career, potentially with some people in NXT. While he doesn't see anything like that occurring in the near future, he also took a never-say-never approach and touted the fruitful nature of the current WWE locker room regarding creativity.

"I'm not going to say no because you never say never. I don't see it happening in the foreseeable future, but you never know what's gonna happen. That's the cool thing about where we're at as a company right now. Creatively speaking, this is the most fruitful, creative locker room that I think I've ever been in. Ideas aren't ignored and shot down, and people are eager to share ideas.

"So somebody someday could have a brilliant idea that's something that I have blinders on and can't see, and I would be receptive to any of the ideas as long as they're good."

Recently, CM Punk discussed how Vince McMahon's departure from WWE made his return all the more possible. Read his comments here.
