CM Punk will face The Ace of New Japan Pro-Wrestling on Sunday, June 26.
CM Punk talked about going to New Japan Pro-Wrestling with the WWE Championship back in 2011. 11 years later, CM Punk will finally wrestle Hiroshi Tanahashi when AEW and New Japan partner up to present Forbidden Door on June 26.

The match was made official on the June 1 episode of AEW Dynamite after CM Punk successfully wrestled a Trios Match alongside FTR. CM Punk asked for his opponent to be revealed and Tanahashi walked out of the tunnel.
