CM Punk would like to learn from the way that Shawn Michaels runs NXT.
CM Punk has always been interested in learning every side of the wrestling business. When working with Paul Heyman in Ohio Valley Wrestling, Punk learned how to properly time a wrestling show. Now that he's back in WWE, Punk has already spent time around Shawn Michaels and WWE NXT, working with the stars of tomorrow to get into ring shape ahead of his return in the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble.
During a recent Fanatics Live signing, Big E joked that Punk would try to take NXT out from under Shawn Michaels's nose. Punk responded genuinely, saying he would like to work with HBK and learn how he runs things. Punk also praised Triple H for trusting Shawn Michaels to do his own thing.
"Baby steps. I would love to work underneath Shawn at some point. It’s not like I want Shawn to go away, ‘Here, take over.’ I would want to learn from him and see how he operates and how he does things. NXT is sort of left alone. Triple H lets Shawn....he trusts Shawn. From NXT to the main roster are wildly different. I think it’s good to know both systems, and I can learn from everybody."
