CMLL Announces Its World Trios And Middleweight Titles Have Been Vacated; NGD Leaving The Promotion

Times are changing in CMLL.

CMLL Lucha Libre has officially announced on social media that its Trios Championships have been vacated because the three individuals that make up the NGD faction, El Cuatrero, Forastero and Sansón, have mutually parted ways with the company.

CMLL also stated that they would begin qualifying rounds to determine who would be the next Trios Champions and Middleweight Champion as El Cuatrero held both.

From CMLL:

"CMLL informs that, as a mutual decision and for the best interests of all parties, Sansón, Cuatrero y Forastero (Faction known as NGD) are no longer active members of the roster as of today."

Due to this, The CMLL Trios Tag Championships and the Middleweight Championship are now vacant and qualifying rounds will be defined shortly to find the new champions.

As a result, NGD were removed from the main event for Friday's show and have been replaced by Templario, Volador Jr, and Titan.

Soberano released a statement about his leaving the company via his own Twitter account.

"Many people think that the problem is the Luttheroth family. Believe me, I am not going through a difficult situation and Mr. Salvador Luttheroth is the one who supported me at all times and he has not let me fall down. To all the fans, believe me that the real problem and the cancer is in other people.”
