Cody Rhodes Doesn't Think Gunther Is Wrong Calling Him A Politician, 'It's Not An Insult That Bothers Me'

Cody Rhodes and Gunther have traded plenty of verbal jabs ahead of their showdown at WWE Crown Jewel.

Gunther has gone as far as calling Cody a politician for the way he shakes hands, kisses babies, and says the right things.

"I don't think he's that wrong," Cody told Cathy Kelley when asked about Gunther calling him a politician. "I don't think of it as political. I think about the fans who come and the American Nightmare cosplay, and the ones who do the 'whoa' and all these little kids and my own daughter, and it just changed him. If it sounds politically correct and squeaky clean and PG, I can't apologize for it. If you poke me enough, the other side of political comes out, and that's just bad for everybody. It's still in there. I don't know if Gunther has to go that far to get a reminder from me. That's not an insult I care about. It doesn't bother me. I've heard other people say it."

Cody and Gunther will clash at WWE Crown Jewel for the WWE Crown Jewel Championship.
