Cody Rhodes sends a strong message to Roman Reigns.
'The American Nightmare' joined Michael Cole for an interview segment on the March 11 episode of Raw. Throughout the segment, both men talked about the tag team match at WrestleMania 40 that will put Rhodes and Seth Rollins against The Rock and Roman Reigns. Cole questioned if Rhodes will be able to trust Rollins at 'The Show Of Shows', which prompted him to bring up instances of people changing over the years.
Rhodes then focused on his match with Reigns, which will also take place at WrestleMania 40. Rhodes noted that if he fails at WrestleMania 40, he won't get another chance to face him next year, because he's already went down that road before. Rhodes then mentioned that he can't hand the title to Dusty Rhodes, but he will be able to hand it to the one person that he has left, his mother, Michelle Rubio.
Rhodes finished off the promo with a strong statement, as he proclaimed that the story is now in the last inning. This line was a reference to the infamous third inning line that Paul Heyman delivered after WrestleMania 39,
