Conor McGregor responds to Logan Paul's callout.

Earlier this month, Logan Paul called McGregor out for a fight in the future, noting that he would step away from WWE 'in a second' to make the fight happen.

In a new recent interview with The Schmo, McGregor addressed Paul's recent callout, and explained the process of trying to get the fight booked.

"They're (Jake and Logan Paul) posting it all over the internet. It is what it is. The UFC just aren't into it. The offer was there on the table, in writing. Both athletes will say, he's not a fighter, but whatever, both athletes under the TKO banner. UFC, WWE, both rising up. The stock price of TKO holding group through the roof. New market in India opened up and booming. It was business savvy and business sense to make the fight happen, or should I say, the glorified spar happen, and in between this weight, This waiting period that we find ourselves in before I can get back to the octagon. It made perfect sense on the calendar to go ahead with it. The UFC went into it. I'm not sure the WWE, what their interest in was. I just knew the UFC went into it. He just kept quiet. He didn't say anything. I was like, mate, you need to say something. You need to open your fucking mouth. I wasn't talking to him directly. He put up this video and edited it like I had to send him a voice note. I was talking to the fucking crowd that was the Ambani royal family of India. Then they were sending it to him. I was like, 'mate, it's basic trying to get him to get going.' I had no problem doing that. To be honest, I would have done it either way."

The Schmo would then ask if there was ever any plans for him to fight Jake Paul, with McGregor noting that it was 'always Logan'.

"It was always Logan. Two TKO fighters. The Ambani family and the advisors for them, they were shrewd. They understood. I am a UFC fighter. To get one without the other, it would be difficult. So it was always Logan, yeah, for sure. It was always Logan. And I like it. Like I said, I am more inclined now for this influencer... fucking whatever you call it, because it's astronomical money. It's astronomical, the figures. So, here was Jake, Logan, and fucking KSI. I like the three of these guys. Then all the other ones that are tussling around. It's an interesting little side pocket branch, we'll call it."

Paul has not wrestled since SummerSlam 2024, where he lost his WWE United States Championship to LA Knight. He is expected on this Monday's edition of RAW.

McGregor has not fought since 2021, where he suffered a TKO loss to Dustin Poirer due to suffering a broken leg.

In November of last year, McGregor was found civilly liable of sexual assault in a civil case brought forward by Nikita Hand. Hand alleged that McGregor and James Laurence sexually assaulted her in 2018. Hands recently sought an injunction to prevent McGregor from distributing footage used as evidence used in the case.
