Daniel Bryan has been banished from Friday Night SmackDown.
On April 23, Cesaro challenged Roman Reigns to a match for his Universal Championship, but The Head of the Table declined, saying that the Swiss Superstar has done nothing to deserve the opportunity. Reigns continued, saying that the Champion issues the challenges and that he has one for Daniel Bryan. Roman claims to have never liked Bryan and is tired of always seeing him around. Bryan was offered a title match, but should he lose, he would be banished from the blue brand. He accepted.
The two had a back and forth fight with Bryan targeting Regins' right arm. Bryan had multiple close calls in capturing the title after hitting the running knees and applying the Yes Lock, twice, but Roman escaped every time. After powering out of that final submission, Reigns began to hammer away on Bryan, eventually locking in a guillotine choke and winning the match via the referee's decision.

After the match, Reigns was looking to set Bryan up for a Con-Chair-To, reminiscent of what he did at WrestleMania, but Cesaro came out and hit the Champ with a series of European Uppercuts. Jey Uso then snuck into the picture and took out Cesaro, trapping him in the ropes and forcing him to watch as Roman hit Bryan with a Con-Chair-To.

With this victory, Roman Reigns has now defeated Bryan four times in the past two months; first at Elimination Chamber, then at Fastlane, once more in the Main Event of WrestleMania 37 Night Two, along with Edge, and now tonight on SmackDown. When Bryan will be seen again remains to be seen, but the stipulation was that he could no longer appear on SmackDown, so there is a chance that he eventually shows up on Monday Night Raw or NXT.
